Beaverhead County High School has had a strong Athletic Training program for many years. Alysa Brown is the high school’s trainer; she provides support to athletes in many sports programs. Taping, icing, and stretching are just the beginning. Each injured athlete is put on a rehab plan to get back to their sport safely as quickly as possible. Dr. Downey helps Alysa make diagnoses and establish treatment plans for injured athletes. Dr. Downey also attends or arranges for another physician to attend every BCHS home football game. In addition, injury prevention training is taught to athletes.
